GADENS BOERN AND THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

In Gadens Boern we do not only focus on creating transformative change for the street children in Kolkata, who directly benefit from our offers, we also focus on supporting sustainable social and economic development in the local communities, where we operate.

The objective of our projects is to provide help to self-help by creating the necessary circumstances that allow street children to explore and realise their own abilities, skills and interests - away from the streets. To create sustainable solutions that have long-lasting effects, we believe it is extremely important that our projects are integrated in the local cultural, economic, and social ecosystem. This is why all our projects are driven locally by our 65 employees in Kolkata. With only 2 employees in Denmark, this makes 97% of all employees in Gadens Boern local.
